Well, it is a sad day in Philadelphia — the Eagles lost the Super Bowl. As you probably know, I am a big Philadelphia sports fan. I really thought the Birds were going to come home with a win this year. Even though we didn’t get the outcome we wanted, it was still a great season. I even got to go to the NFC Championship game.
My brother, Kevin, and I got tickets to the game. It was my first time at an Eagles game in the home stadium and what a game! Our seats were amazing, we were in the lower section, in the corner of the end zone, so we got to see a lot of action. We were both so excited to be there and experience a special part of the season. We stayed for some of the trophy presentation, but my brother wanted to get back to watch the AFC Championship Game. It was so surreal being in the stadium, celebrating with other Eagles fans and experiencing the energetic atmosphere.

The Eagles played the San Francisco 49ers for a chance to go to the Super Bowl. At first the game seemed like it was going to be close, but then the Eagles ended up blowing them out. It was a great effort from the entire team.
I am not sure what the future holds for some of the older and key players on the team, like Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce, Fletcher Cox and Lane Johnson, but the rest of the team is pretty young so I am hoping next season is just as good as this season. Hopefully we can get one more season with these guys as they are staples in Philadelphia.
Here’s to a successful off season and an even better 2023 Philadelphia Eagles season!

May 14, 2025Hotel Van Zandt Review
One step onto Austin’s Rainey Street and you’ll feel like you’ve joined the cool kids at the best playground in the city. Just behind the cottage bars, pint-sized skyscrapers soar. One of them, Hotel Van Zandt, the Rainey district's pièce de resistance, beckons with a song-like spirit —apropos because the independently owned property, rife with music motifs, was named after beloved singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt. Sixteen stories high, the hotel embodies Austin’s lust for music, manifesting with a vinyl corner; trumpet chandeliers; myriad musical references; replica vintage posters in frames; and its own live music venue, which doubles as its acclaimed restaurant, Geraldine’s. Don’t miss the mesmerizing installation of colorful origami-like birds composed from vinyl records that flitter from an old phonograph.
