Can you believe there are only 70 days left in this decade? Yes, that’s right, this is the last fall season of the decade!
Last year, exactly around this time, I shared some spooky adventures in New York in this blog post. Sadly, this year I can’t say the same … yet. In an attempt to kickstart the season, my friends and I decided to book an All In Adventures escape room but were disappointed with the concept.

Luckily for me and my fellow residents of the Keystone State, Mary Melnick covered the Top 5 haunted houses in Pennsylvania in her latest Trazee Travel article. Besides Eastern State Penitentiary, I was not aware of the rest of the spooky attractions and am definitely planning to visit one soon — the timing couldn’t have been better!
Listed on the blog is Pennhurst Asylum; the abandoned (and apparently haunted) hospital re-opened its doors after 25 years, making this one of the scariest destinations in the state. As a loyal fan of FX show American Horror Story, the website brought flashbacks of the second season, making me eager to buy my tickets to the Mayflower Dormitory now.
