Business class is now on offer on Avianca Airlines for travelers on the Los Angeles (LAX)–Bogotà (BOG) route. Passengers between the two destinations can now choose from five seat options: XS, S, M and L in economy fare, and XXL in business fare on the Boeing 787 twin-aisle aircraft with 28 business-class seats and 222 economy-class seats.
“We know that going to Bogotá is almost like going to Europe,” said Manuel Ambriz, chief commercial officer, Avianca Airlines. “It’s a long trip and we want our customers to have the opportunity to enjoy more benefits. We listened to them, we made some internal adjustments and today we are implementing the option of flying in the business cabin on a flight of seven hours. We currently operate one daily flight between Los Angeles and Bogotá and we believe that this is an important development to the route.”
Business-class service on this route includes a welcome drink, dinner/lunch with three menu options, snacks, liquors and beverages, a blanket and pillow, an amenity kit, a mattress pad on night flights and an entertainment system.
Flight AV0083 departs LAX at 8:45 p.m. local time daily, arriving in BOG at 5:45 a.m. the following day, local time. Flights last seven hours. The return departs Colombia at 1:10 p.m. daily, arriving in California at 7 p.m.
