Those traveling through Vienna (VIE) via Austrian Airlines will soon have a great new lounge option. Renovation work is underway on the airline’s lounge at Vienna Airport.
All three Austrian Airlines’ business-class lounges and the two Senator lounges will boast an entirely new appearance, focusing on Austrian culture. Highlights include tailor-made furniture, a new textile concept and unique works by Austrian artists.
Conversions will take place gradually, so one lounge will be open at all times, and the work will be complete in spring 2018.
In other Austrian Airlines news, winter flight routes were added to popular ski destinations.
New offerings include Innsbruck (INN), Salzburg (SZG), Klagenfurt (KLU), Basel (BSL), Geneva (GVA) and Zürich (ZRH). In addition to the new flights, 180 Austrian Airlines ski charter flights will bring passengers to Tyrol’s capital city of Innsbruck through April. Seats can be booked through travel agencies.
