American Airlines travelers at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport will soon have a new lounge as the carrier opens its Flagship Lounge and renovates its Admirals Club at Terminal D.
The Flagship Lounge will cover 23,000 square feet and will be open to passengers traveling in the airline’s Flagship First and Flagship Business travel classes. The lounge will accommodate 350 people, and boast rest areas and lounge-style seating. There will also be showers and wireless chargers.
The lounge’s high-end, sit-down Flagship First Dining experience will be available for Flagship First passengers. The restaurant can seat 54 people with a menu of Texas cuisine, like double-smoked beef brisket, slow-braised pork shoulder and Texas pecan pie. Drinks include wines chosen by the airline’s master sommelier Desmond Echavarrie, along with Krug Champagne, signature cocktails and craft beer.
Other passengers can dine on Texas brisket in adobo sauce, Korean-style chicken wings and sushi. There will also be cooking stations serving omelets and Asian-style pancakes. Premium wine, Champagne and local craft beer will also be available.
The airline renovated its Admirals Club lounge in Terminal D, with a new design, more power outlets, showers and added relaxation space. There’s also new food and drink offerings, including hummus, vegetables, soup and the airline’s signature “make-your-own guacamole” station. There are also local craft beers from breweries in Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, and an exclusive wine label from sommelier Bobby Stuckey.
