AirAsia continues to expand its international network with new flights to the Sichuan Province of China.
The new route begins in March and connects Penang (PEN)–Chengdu (CTU) three times weekly.
“This is our first route from Penang to mainland China and we are confident this additional route will continue to boost visitor arrivals into Penang, and vice versa,” said Riad Asmat, CEO, AirAsia Malaysia. Passengers can begin booking the flights right now on AirAsia’s website.
Chengdu has lots to entertain visitors, including the Giant Pandas that call the region home, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Jinli Ancient Street and more. The city also acts as a gateway to China’s western provinces.
