India’s leading global airline announced its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft will operate on daily, non-stop flights between New York (JFK) and Delhi (DEL) as of Nov. 1. This deployment of the A350 to New York introduced Air India’s premium economy experience for the first time on the route to Delhi, as well as all-new interiors. This includes private suites in business class, a premium-economy cabin, a new in-flight entertainment system, enhanced catering and new serviceware. Updated amenity kits for business and premium economy guests are also in store, exclusively designed by Ferragamo and TUMI, respectively.

Air India’s A350 aircraft boasts a business class with 28 private suites in a 1-2-1 configuration, each with a full, lie-flat bed. Each suite offers direct-aisle access, sliding privacy doors and a personal wardrobe. This makes Air India the only non-stop carrier between the United States and India to offer private suites in business class. Coming soon, the airline will offer new in-flight connectivity service on international flights operated by A350 aircraft.

This flagship aircraft also recently debuted on the airline’s Delhi–London Heathrow route. Looking ahead, Air India has committed to more than 500 new aircraft, including at least 40 A350s. Starting Jan. 2, Air India will also begin five weekly flights between Newark (EWR) and Delhi.
