In-flight entertainment can be a great way to catch up on all those talked-about films that everyday life does not provide enough time to actually sit down and watch. But what if you start a movie too late into the flight and you´re forced to miss the ending? The recently successful Cinema to Go program from Air France allowed passengers to begin a film on board and finish the film at a later time on their own devices. Select films that have won awards at this year’s and previous Cannes Film Festivals can be viewed on board and viewed later on tablets, smartphones and computers using a gift code provided by the airline. Although the program was only available during this year’s Cannes Film Festival in May, the success of the program may encourage future integration into Air France flights during the rest of the year. The complimentary service celebrated Air France’s partnership with the Cannes Film Festival and the airline´s popular Los Angeles (LAX) to Paris (CDG) route.
