Air China will start Beijing (PEK)–Johannesburg (JNB) non-stop service on Oct. 29, initiating the first air link offered by a Chinese carrier connecting Mainland China and South Africa. The new flight also marks Air China’s first route to Africa.
Beijing–Johannesburg flight will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with return service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Air China will employ Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft to service the route.
Air China also has plans in the works to begin Beijing–Addis Ababa (ADD) service this year.
