Aeromexico expands its Joint Cooperation Agreement with Delta Air Lines with the debut of three new routes to the United States, connecting Mexico City International Airport with Raleigh-Durham (RDU); Tampa Bay (TPA); and Washington, D.C (IAD).
Running seven times weekly on each route, flights to Washington, D.C. will be operated by the Boeing 737 MAX 8, while flights to Raleigh-Durham and Tampa Bay will be operated by Embraer 190.
This month, the Aeromexico-Delta partnership will provide more than 90 flights per day between the United States and Mexico across almost 60 routes.
Despite the new routes, the joint venture between the two airlines remains up in the air. The U.S. government noted in early 2024 it would not renew the antitrust immunity agreement needed for the venture to continue.
