LOT Polish Airlines redefines air travel with the launch of its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, debuting on flights to the United States in 2013. Among many other innovations, the aircraft offers an open cabin layout, vaulted ceilings, added shoulder and head room, larger overhead bins and extra storage space.

LOT and Boeing revolutionize the passenger experience. The airplane’s larger windows brighten the cabin, dimming or darkening electronically at the push of a button. LED lighting stimulates the feel of morning, noon and dusk to night so passengers can transition to time zone changes naturally. Improved passenger service units make it simpler to turn on reading lights and call the flight attendant.

New engines, light composite materials, aerodynamic elements and reduced noise allow for a pleasant onboard experience, while modern audio-video equipment, Internet access and a specially trained cabin crew ensure a new standard of service on board LOT. The airplane pressurizes at 2,000 meters, reducing the chance of headaches, fatigue, eye irritation and muscle aches. A second filter removes odors, irritants and unhealthy gases from the air; and a higher humidity level makes the air less dry, enhancing the overall passenger experience.

The LOT 787 Dreamliner is environmentally friendly, consuming 20 percent less fuel and producing 20 percent less air pollution. All the materials are recyclable when the airplane is retired, and engine advances reduce airplane noise. The airplane is lighter, more fuel efficient, smoother and faster than other aircraft.

LOT Polish Airlines’ 787 Dreamliner service between Chicago and Warsaw begins January 2013. New in-flight menus, beverage selection and amenities highlight a redesigned modern interior inspired by Polish tradition and symbols. As the airline replaces its long-range Boeing 767s with the dynamic Dreamliner, it hosts one of the youngest aircraft fleets in Europe, with an average age of 4.5 years.

LOT’s cabin crew also refreshed their look this year. Female flight attendants don pillbox hats with a metal badge displaying the wings of the LOT Polish Airlines logo; male stewards wear the same pin on their uniform jackets. The uniform makeover includes winter coats, classic and elegant trench coats and new neck scarves.

It’s easier than ever to connect with LOT Polish Airlines. The Polish flagship carrier recently entered an interline agreement with JetBlue, allowing travelers to seamlessly book connections through New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Warsaw’s Chopin Airport. From Warsaw, customers can connect to 45 destinations across Poland, Europe and the Middle East.
