Still funny after all these years, comedian-actor-director Mel Brooks heads to Denver for an Oct. 6 performance at the Bellco Theatre at the Colorado Convention Center in the heart of the city. The afternoon show includes a screening of his hilarious, classic, Warner Bros. film Blazing Saddles, followed by a live conversation and audience question-and-answer session. Brooks will share inside stories about the making of the film, released in 1974 and in which he starred along with fellow comedy icons Gene Wilder, Harvey Korman, Madeline Kahn and Dom DeLuise. The film, set within the landscape of the American frontier in 1874, was nominated for three Academy Awards.

Jerry Seinfeld takes the stage at the Bellco Nov. 16. Seinfeld is perhaps best known for his hugely successful collaboration with fellow comedian Larry David on the television show Seinfeld, regarded as the most successful comedy series in the history of television. The show ran for nine seasons on NBC and won a host of Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards. Seinfeld’s career launched in 1981 following an appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Since the end of the Seinfeld series, the comedian-actor has been the creative force behind several movies and the Emmy-nominated web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. He’s also been in residence at the Beacon Theatre in New York for a year-long residency called Jerry Seinfeld: the Homestand.
