EVA Air added its Hello Kitty Hand-in-Hand jet to the airline’s Los Angeles route as of last week. The special fuselage now appears on three of 21 weekly non-stop flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Taipei (TPE).

The aircraft design boasts 19 Hello Kitty and Sanrio characters, including Hello Kitty, Dear Daniel, My Melody, Kuromi, Little Twin Stars, Cinnamoroll, Pompom Purin and Bad Badtz-Maru. It offers three cabin classes — Royal Laurel business, premium economy and economy.

The Hello Kitty experience begins at check in with specially designed boarding passes and baggage stickers. The cabin crew sport green Hello Kitty aprons. Hello Kitty flight amenities include headrest covers, pillows, tissues, lotion, soap, napkins, cups, utensils and snacks. The EVA Sky Shop also offers themed duty-free items during flights.

The aircraft serves flights EVA BR005 and BR006, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Flights depart Los Angeles at 11:55 a.m., arriving in Taipei at 5:05 p.m. the next day. Return flights depart Taipei at 10:10 a.m., arriving in Los Angeles at 6:50 a.m. Flight times are approximately 14 hours from Los Angeles to Taipei and nearly 12 hours from Taipei to Los Angeles.

EVA Air’s additional themed Hello Kitty aircraft are the Shining Star, Joyful Dream, Celebration Flight and Friendship Bows, serving routes within Asia and long-haul service to Chicago (ORD) and Los Angeles.
