This summer, the elusive tastes of the Cayman Islands can be delivered right to your door. An initiative from the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, in partnership with online meal kit company Chef’d, brings the flavors and signature dishes of the Caribbean destination to your home, making it easier and cheaper than ever to experience a tropical vacation from your sofa.
Until Sept. 15, foodies can visit the Chef’d website to browse meal kits featuring the best of Cayman cuisine. Local chefs created the five meal kits, which feature authentic flavors and styles from the island’s 200-plus restaurants.
Each meal kit provides home cooks with pre-portioned ingredients and clear instructions for how to prepare these creative dishes at home. The curated recipes include blackened Mahi Mahi, guava-glazed pork chops, piña colada chicken, curried chicken and a rum-based chocolate bread pudding for dessert.
As part of the promotion, CIDOT is giving away a six-night luxury vacation for two to the Grand Cayman Marriot Beach Resort. Contestants can enter the contest on the Chef’d website until Sept. 15.
