Flying between North America and India is now easier than ever with a new partnership agreement between Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic Airways and Jet Airways.
Delta and Virgin Atlantic recently announced cooperation with Jet Airways to provide codeshare connections for customers across North America and India via London Heathrow. Delta and Virgin Atlantic customers flying between North America and India are now able to connect via London Heathrow onto Jet Airways flights to Mumbai (BOM) and Delhi (DEL) and on to 20 other destinations within India. Similarly, Jet Airways customers can connect via London Heathrow to nine U.S. destinations operated by Delta, including Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis (MSP), New York (JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), Portland (PDX), Salt Lake City (SLC) and Seattle (SEA).
“For the first time, customers will be able to hold a single Delta ticket from North America through London to India providing coordinated customer service all the way through to their final destinations,” said Nat Pieper, senior vice president – Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, Delta Air Lines.
In addition to allowing for seamless travel between the two destinations, the new agreement will also allow Delta SkyMiles and Jet Airways JetPrivilege members to enjoy network-wide reciprocal mileage earning and redemption opportunities. The new agreement between the three airlines provides more travel options between North America and India with a seamless transfer process and convenient scheduling options.
