1 Hotels has some exciting properties in the works across the world. Opening December 2024, 1 Hotel Melbourne marks the brand’s first location in Australia. Located on the Yarra River, the hotel will include 277 guestrooms and 114 hotel-branded residences, as well as a lobby bar with waterfront views, Bamford Wellness Spa, an indoor pool, large function center and access to a massive park.
Sunnyvale, California, also soon welcomes an SH Hotels & Resorts property. Treehouse Sunnyvale conveys a child-like sense of wonder with interiors and details evoking that treehouse feel. Also slated to open at the end of 2024, the new hotel will repurpose several existing structures and elevate a new six-story building. Most of its 254 rooms, including 21 suites, will boast private outdoor spaces, from ground-floor patios to balconies and terraces on the upper floors. Amenities include a casual café with indoor and outdoor seating, a garden offering games, a beer garden, courtyard pool with cabanas, a hot tub, pizza oven and state-of-the-art fitness facilities. Guests will also enjoy access to three meeting rooms and an outdoor pre-function space.

Treehouse Manchester comes to Manchester, United Kingdom, in April. The second property to open in the country for the Treehouse Hotels brand, the property will sit in city center close to Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Manchester Arena. Featuring 216 guestrooms, guests will also enjoy multiple event spaces, an expansive screening room, gymnasium, and three unique food and beverage spaces. In addition to a top-floor restaurant, bar and venue, there’s also a ground-floor, zero-waste restaurant. All accommodations and public spaces are rooted in sustainability.
1 Hotels recently opened 1 Hotel Mayfair in London, marking the brand’s entrance into Europe.

Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.
