Taipei-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines deepens its reach into the U.S. market since its first intercontinental TPE–LAX voyage in April 2023. While the airline established Los Angeles as its first U.S. destination, it has also solidified a strategic partnership with Alaska Airlines, providing several rewards opportunities for loyalty program members of both airlines. Among the perks, customers can book connecting flights on a single ticket, making check-in and luggage transfer more efficient.

STARLUX’s daily LAX–TPE flights will be flown on the airline’s Airbus 350 aircraft and feature four seats in First Class, 26 in Business Class, 36 in Premium Economy and 240 in Economy. The STARLUX flight experience in all cabin classes, meanwhile, is designed to raise the bar on transcontinental flights to Asia. First- and business-Class travelers have a private space with a sliding door and fully flat seats and Zero G mode for full relaxation. The extra-legroom premium-economy section features a 40-inch Recaro seat with leg rest and footrest bar, while economy seats feature a leather headrest and wide seat pitch. All guests have seatback entertainment featuring 4K personal large screens.
Other signature touches include curated in-cabin aromatherapy, Michelin-rated meals in some classes, and Taiwanese signature dish options in all classes. Passengers can pre-order meals online to ensure they can enjoy the meal of their choice. As the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Clippers are partner sports teams, LAX–TPE passengers will get to enjoy a variety of LA Dodgers-themed amenities through the end of the baseball season in October, followed by LA Clippers-themed amenities from November to June 2024.

Now passengers will be able to enjoy flying with us from Los Angeles to major cities in Asia, with an easy transfer in Taipei.” The airline’s Asian destinations include Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Okinawa, Sapporo, Sendai, Macau, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi, Manila and Cebu.
