Set in the Coachella Valley, Renaissance Indian Wells recently reopened as Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa at Indian Wells. With a new name, the property unveils a new look and guest experience. All 560 guestrooms and 103 suites were completely redone, as were the public spaces, lobby, fitness center, pools, food and beverage offerings and event spaces.
The new design makes a nod to the property’s history hosting Hollywood icons like the Rat Pack with theatrical touches, star-inspired lighting and dramatic focal walls. New artwork is found both within and outside guestrooms. A newly planted olive grove complements the 23 acres of Mediterranean-inspired landscaping.
New guest experiences include nightly programming, giving guests the chance to connect with locals and local businesses. At food and beverage outlets, guests will find menus hearkening back to the resort’s earliest days in business.
“Embracing the spirit of the desert, Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa is the perfect example of what the Renaissance brand offers today: a sense of clever theatricality and an open invitation to experience something a little unexpected during our guests’ travels,” said George Fleck, vice president of global brand marketing and management, Renaissance Hotels. “Infused with vibrant unexpected moments, this newly reimagined resort offers spontaneous discoveries at every turn.”
