One of Cape Cod’s top tourist attractions is back in business following a brief closure for renovations. Cape Cod’s Hyannis Factory Tour welcomes more than 250,000 visitors annually, showing hungry travelers where and how Cape Cod potato chips are produced. The decades-old brand creates its potato chips one batch at a time in custom kettles, which guests see firsthand during the free self-guided tour. The factory produces 30,000 pounds of potato chips daily, for 7.2 million pounds of potato chips each year.

The recent renovations included expansions to visitor spaces to meet increasing demand; photo opportunity spots, so visitors can capture the brand’s iconic kettles on camera; and a new patio area for guests to relax and snack. The gift shop offers new merchandise following the renovations, in addition to the complimentary potato chips guests receive at the end of each tour.
