Wellness programming is an expectation at upscale properties, but Rosewood Mayakoba actually brings wellness to you. Eight two-story wellness suites at the resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico, are located on an island with the spa and overlook the lagoon. Each has one bedroom and two bathrooms, indoor and outdoor features, ample living and dining space, and floor-to-ceiling windows that let in all that beautiful Caribbean sunshine and look out on to emerald water. Sense, A Rosewood Spa, is mere steps away, with scheduled fitness classes and wellness experiences as well as treatments including a temazcal purification and body wraps and scrubs that use ingredients hand-picked by guests in the Sensory Garden. Here are 10 things we adore about these idyllic accommodations:
Getting There
At Rosewood Mayakoba, zen starts right after check-in. Guests in the wellness suites board a boat outfitted with cold drinks and a platter of freshly cut tropical fruit for a 10-minute ride through the lagoon. Along the way, you might encounter birds in the mangroves or fish swimming in the clear water; eventually, you’ll dock at your tranquil, temporary home on Spa Island.

Plunge Pool Paradise
Located on your private patio, the heated plunge pool is perfect for a mid-afternoon dip to cool off or a late-evening soak under the stars; pillar candles lit during turndown service add to the relaxing ambiance.
Reflexology Fountain & Meditation Pavilion
The back patio of your suite is designed for solo meditation or yoga, with a rolled-up mat thoughtfully included for your daily practice. Rocks and river stones placed in the shallow fountain are meant to be walked on to stimulate acupressure points on the soles of your feet.

Shower Steamer Pods
The shower faucet is equipped with a gadget into which aromatherapy pods are placed to encourage different moods. Use an energizing scent for a morning boost, one inducing focus if you want to channel your inner artist, or a calming fragrance when you need to catch some zzz’s.
Sleep Helpers
After returning from dinner, guests find aromatherapy patches placed on nightstands, meant to be applied to your chest to deliver essential oils to your body while you sleep. A moon lamp eases you into sleep and wakefulness using circadian rhythms, and a microfiber pillow does double duty: making sure you don’t lose moisture as you sleep and preventing sleep lines on your face.

Luxuriating in the Bath
A jar of bath salts next to the freestanding tub eases tight or sore muscles after exercise or travel, while a few drops poured from bottles of essential oils ramp up relaxation, as does as the natural loofah sponge.
Daily Elixirs
Freshly pressed juice is delivered daily to your refrigerator, and homemade tea blends left in the evenings combine herbs and dried fruits for a restorative nightcap. The day you arrive, ingredients are set out for a welcome wellness cocktail — mezcal, fresh juices, simple syrup — which your butler is happy to shake up for you, or you can mix yourself.

Natural Rituals
Sacred mala beads are set on a hallway table; pass them through your fingers while repeating a mantra or affirmation to instill a change you’d like to make in your life. Handcrafted copal resin incense can be burned during meditation or relaxation, and quartz crystals placed in the reflexology fountain or on your bedside table release stress and align energy channels.
Meditation by the Cenote
With the spa so close by, wellness programming is never far away. Morning guided group meditation is offered on some mornings on mats next to a cenote; many participants end the practice by jumping into the cool refreshing water to kickstart their day.

Yoga Float Class
Even yoga devotees may be challenged (and humbled) by a class done in the spa pool on dense floating mats. It’s a great study in patience and balance, and after you fall off the first time (and you most likely will fall off), you’ll want to climb back on and master that downward dog.

Sep 17, 2026High-Spirited Hong Kong: The Dynamic Hub Embraces Its Maritime History and Culture
It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.
