Starwood Hotels & Resorts continues its aggressive expansion in Latin America with the debut of Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mexico City, located in the heart of the city’s posh Polanco district.
A former residence, Las Alcobas features 35 luxuriously appointed guestrooms and suites designed to reflect the rich cultural heritage of Mexico City with handmade rugs and original artwork from contemporary Mexican artists. Facilities include dining venues, a spa with locally inspired massage therapies and indigenous skin revitalization techniques and a 24-hour fitness center.
Mexico City becomes the sixth city in the world to feature all three of Starwood’s luxury brands, joining New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Bangkok and Bali. In Latin America and the Caribbean, the company currently operates a portfolio of 94 hotels, with 15 hotels in the pipeline set to open by 2017.
