The Hilton Crystal City at Washington Reagan National Airport, located between the airport and downtown Washington, D.C., is upping the ante when it comes to catering to business travelers. The hotel added a new executive lounge, part of a $14 million renovation completed last year.
“We started with a clean slate, creating the executive lounge from repurposed space and moving this experience near our main lobby and ballroom area so the guest does not feel excluded from the rest of the activities within the hotel,” said Harold Bassler, area general manager, Crescent Hotels & Resorts. The Hilton Crystal City is one of more than 80 hotels throughout the United States and Canada managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
The club lounge features architectural elements more common to private homes than hotels. The oversized space accommodates up to 60 guests in seating clusters that encourage mingling while offering privacy. Sleek stainless steel and glass refrigerators offer an assortment of food and beverages; a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast is offered daily.
Guests who have not reached an elite status with Hilton may opt to pay a small surcharge for lounge access.
