Zannier Hotels opened a boutique property in the center of Ghent, offering unique historic charm and an ideal location for exploring the Belgian port city.

The Carriage

Located in a former post office building, 1898 The Post is the latest property in Zannier’s collection of authentic properties located in some of the most desirable destinations in the world. The 38-room hotel boasts elegant 20^th-century décor, antique furnishings and a neo-Gothic stone façade with hundreds of escutcheons and statues evoking Belgium’s past.

Each guestroom and suite features something unique, paying tribute to the buildings past, but all come with high ceilings and a warm elegance, with large windows and plush furniture and bedding. The first floor is home to a common area, complete with a large welcoming fireplace; and The Kitchen serves homemade buffet-style breakfasts, lunches and light snacks throughout the day. The Honesty Bar is located on the second floor overlooking the Grain Market, and The Cobbler cocktail bar reflects an old-time atmosphere, complete with handcrafted cocktails and views of historic Ghent.
