Global Rescue, medical, security, evacuation and travel risk management services provider, recently revealed the results of its Winter 2022 Global Rescue Travel Safety and Sentiment survey. The survey finds bleisure travel and remote work are here to stay.

Of those surveyed, 34 percent work remotely and 35 percent travel more and longer as a result of remote work conditions. Seventy-five percent of business travelers traveled domestically since the pandemic, with 27 percent taking international business trips. More than 93 percent of those surveyed are “less or much less” concerned about travel since the height of the pandemic.

“Business travel has changed permanently but that doesn’t necessarily mean there will be less of it, just that it will be different,” said Dan Richards, CEO, Global Rescue. “Virtual substitution for in-person meetings is here to stay. The pandemic has demonstrated that productive work can be done from almost anywhere and that is leading to people taking advantage of that circumstance.”
