Marriott International revealed plans to open a new Westin Hotels & Resorts property in Darwin, Australia, by 2020. Located in Australia’s Northern Territory, the city of Darwin has grown in popularity among travelers, nestled on the cusp of the territory’s expansive nature reserve.
The proposed property will feature 240 guestrooms, 14 of which will be suites, as well as three on-site restaurants, an executive lounge and nearly 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Guests will have access to the WestinWORKOUT space and The Heavenly Spa by Westin where they can blow off steam or enjoy one. The hotel will look over the Darwin Waterfront with ocean and harbor views, providing easy access to the Darwin Convention Center and the airport (DRW).
The new Westin Darwin is part of a larger plan to debut up to 50 properties in the South Pacific region by 2020, including Westin hotels in Brisbane, Perth and Coolum.
