Nearing its opening date in the last quarter of 2015, Westin Denver International Airport, part of the new hotel and transit center, is set to be a showstopper. Heading up the new hotel is general manager Tom Curley, whose expertise includes 12 years as general manager at Westin Denver Downtown and tenure as area managing director for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Colorado.

With stunning glass curtain walls, sweeping architecture suggestive of sleek, airborne wings, and views of the Rocky Mountains, the hotel comprises 519 guestrooms and suites, an 11^th-floor swimming pool, plus enormous meeting facilities and a 10,000-square-foot pre-function space with a 1,000-foot-wide glass wall.

Gensler is the design firm behind the project, which embraces all of Westin’s signature amenities: WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio, Heavenly Beds, and SuperFoodsRx choices in multiple dining venues. Adjacent to the hotel is the new RTD East Rail train station serving downtown Denver, set to open in spring 2016. There’s also a public plaza ready to host a year-round roster of concerts, farmers’ markets and arts programs throughout the year.
