Refinery Hotel is partnering with Wellthily Co. to launch the Wellth Series. The first of its kind in New York City, this program delivers the latest in wellness and health to residents and travelers alike, from fitness classes to expert panels on healthy living.
The Wellth Series kicks off with an action-packed event on Nov. 15 featuring healthy food and juice bars, fireside chats with health, nutrition and fitness experts, spinning classes from Cyc Fitness, and yoga classes from Provita. The series will continue with additional events slated for Dec. 13 and Jan. 17. Tickets are available for $35 per person.
Furthering the commitment to wellness and health, Refinery Hotel guestrooms will include healthy travel kits available for purchase containing products to help guests sleep well, workout in rooms and eat better. The hotel will also begin offering weekly boutique fitness classes to New York City residents and hotel guests in Hatbox, the hotel’s sidewalk-level event space, starting on Dec. 6.
Ah, the romance of train travel ... even commuters feel it. There’s something oh so Alfred Hitchcock, Agatha Christie and Harry Potter about chugging down a track on the way to some wonderful — perhaps even mysterious — destination, your bag neatly tucked above you, a book in your lap, your journey ahead. The scenery outside passes by like a film in fast motion. The seats (comfortable on most global trains, even in second class) feel like super-plush movie theater lounge chairs. Each train car, like a narrow living room, boasts its own mood depending on fellow travelers and the ministrations of attentive staff.
