There may not be snow in Los Angeles this season, but Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is certainly full of the holiday spirit, with Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s events happening in the hotel’s gorgeous event spaces.
Espelette Beverly Hills, the dining concept created by chef Steve Benjamin blending coastal Mediterranean flavors with European accents, offers a three-course, fixed-price menu on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The restaurant will also be open on New Year’s Eve for breakfast and dinner, where guests can savor farm-to-table dishes from the à la carte menu, along with festive cocktails. Revelers can also pop in on New Year’s Day for breakfast or brunch featuring contemporary California flavors.
Those who’d rather take in sweeping views of Beverly Hills and Hollywood in an upscale garden setting can snag a table at Rooftop at JG, the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and bar perched 12 floors above the city. During Hanukkah, they’ll serve latkes with crème fraîche and caviar. An à la carte brunch on Christmas Eve will be followed by a three-course dinner that evening, as well as on Christmas Day. The rooftop is also the perfect place to ring in the New Year while dancing to the sounds of a DJ with an open bar and Champagne toast; there’s also V.I.P. table seating available. Return the next morning to soak in some sun with brunch.
If you prefer more glitz and glam to ring in 2024, the Astor Ballroom transforms into a Venetian Carnevale. The Masquerade Ball will feature entertainment, performances, free-flowing libations and more, with V.I.P. seating also available.
Several weekends in December, Lobby Lounge will be the setting for the Nutcracker Afternoon Tea. Inspired by the Los Angeles Ballet’s performance of the classic, the tea features sweet treats and teas from Tea Leaves, blended by tea artisans in Vancouver, with a live harpist setting the mood.
Take a break from the hustle and bustle with some seasonally inspired pampering at La Prairie Spa. The Holiday Escape treatment includes a 90-minute aromatherapy scrub and hot stone massage, followed by a 60-minute La Prairie Facial.
Guests who want to plan a getaway to enjoy any of these holiday events can book the Waldorf Wonderland offer. The two-night minimum stay includes a room or suite decked out in festive décor, a children’s tent for sleepovers, daily breakfast credit for two adults, a holiday feast for four at Espelette Beverly Hills and more.

When the two of us entered The Spa at Four Seasons Tamarindo, past the backlit boutique items and local artisan-painted wood carvings, the place wrapped us in a feeling of tranquility. Its stone walls, earth tones, woven wall hangings and furniture made of natural materials reminded us we are part of nature’s spectrum, the abundant windows showing native plants and trees outside.
