On the shore of West Kauai, Waimea Plantation Cottages recently announced its Premier Cottage Collection, comprising four homes among the resort’s 59 vintage cottages. The one- to five-bedroom cottages sit on 43 oceanfront acres.

“Our Premier Cottage Collection features four of our larger homes built between the 1880s and 1930s. Each is unique in floor plan and furnishings, yet each retains the charm of a vintage Hawaii plantation cottage” said Gregg Enright, general manager, Waimea Plantation Cottages. “These homes open a window into the Kauai’s past, offering an enriching stay with family or friends.”
The Premier Cottage Collection homes can accommodate 6–10 guests each. To introduce these to travelers, the Premier Cottage Collection is available to book for a minimum of five nights, with no charge for the fifth night. Learn more about the offer.

Sep 30, 2026Review: Sushi by Scratch at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley
Husband-and-wife team Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee made their mark by reinventing the term “hidden gem” through their surprising and intentional collection of destination restaurants. While they launched the original Scratch Kitchen in 2013, an expired lease prompted them to relocate to an unassuming strip mall in suburban Encino in 2015 and rename it Scratch Bar & Kitchen. Even at a time when the San Fernando Valley was not known for innovative 5-star dining, the Lees’ concepts gathered such a strong buzz that discerning diners cheerfully followed them “over the hill.”
