Regent Phu Quoc recently launched its fourth installment of Taste Studio, a signature pop-up dining experience from Nov. 28 to 30. Each installment features a different theme; this year, it’s A Spectrum of Contrasts. The event is exclusively planned for just 32 guests and will mix flavor, art, dance, music, Vietnamese culture and the history of Phu Quoc through activities like interactive performances and dining elements.
Each night, the resort’s Executive Chef Francesco Andreoni creates a menu taking guests on a culinary journey with meals featuring dishes with high-quality, local ingredients made using unique culinary techniques. Each meal will highlight colors, fragrances and tastes representing the Vietnamese concept of yin and yang and match the artistic performances.
Those performances include:
AC3 Studio
This multidisciplinary creative technology workshop will display visually aesthetic works including on-screen designs and real-world sensory moments through scenography, video mapping projections, motion design, kinetic lighting and interactive installations.
Sabra Johnson
Sabra Johnson is a choreographer and season 3 winner of So You Think You Can Dance. She regularly contributes to the Vietnamese arts community and plans to bring her international experience and creative spirit to the performance.
Vietnam Truc Ci Art
Vietnam Truc Ci Art is a fusion of traditional papermaking, water pressure and printmaking principle created by artist Phan Hải Bằng. This art displays a unique range of tones and luminous effects that celebrate the contrasts of light and shadow, yin and yang.
Limebocx
Enjoy a musical performance featuring riffs, looped vocal harmonies and guitars by this trio from Hanoi, Vietnam.
