United Airlines announced increased service on 11 routes connecting the continental United States and Hawai’i, offering customers more options between the mainland and the Hawai’ian Islands than any other carrier.
Beginning Dec. 20, United will increase service from its hubs in Chicago (ORD), Denver (DEN), Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) to Hawai’i’s hubs in Kona (KOA), Lihue (LIH), Maui (OGG) and Hilo (ITO). The airline will continue operating its daily, non-stop flights to Honolulu (HNL) from all seven domestic hubs in Chicago, Denver, Houston (IAH), Los Angeles, New York (JFK), Newark (EWR), San Francisco and Washington, D.C. (IAD).
“As we celebrate our 70th anniversary in Hawai’i this year, today’s announcement carries a very special significance for our customers,” said Jake Cefolia, vice president of sales, United. “Our customers have asked for more ways to get to Hawai’i, and by adding these flights we are thrilled to make Hawai’i more accessible than ever for our customers traveling from the Midwest, Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions.”
