United Airlines is growing its presence in the Israeli market with new non-stop service between Tel Aviv and San Francisco. From March 30, 2016, the carrier will offer the direct route three times per week with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
“Providing corporate customers from throughout the Bay Area and Silicon Valley non-stop service to the high-tech market in Israel has been high on our priority list at United,” said Dave Hilfman, senior vice president of worldwide sales, United. “Now with the 787-9 Dreamliner, we’re delighted to make it a reality.”
From San Francisco (SFO), service will take off at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, landing in Tel Aviv (TLV) at 8:10 p.m. the next day. Flights to San Francisco will depart Tel Aviv at 12:55 a.m. on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, arriving on the West Coast at 6 a.m. the same day.
United has served Israel since 1999. The new route between San Francisco and Tel Aviv joins the airline’s existing twice-daily Boeing 777 non-stop flights between Tel Aviv and Newark (EWR).
The new flights will launch three months after American Airlines exits the Israeli market with its non-stop service between Tel Aviv and Philadelphia (PHL) in January 2016.
