A new onboard entertainment system by Panasonic will offer Turkish Airlines customers an advanced home theater-like atmosphere with high-definition displays and advanced audio technology.

The new system will also include Panasonic’s unique Passenger Data service, which will allow Turkish Airlines to increase personalization options for its customers. The service looks at previous travel preferences and recommends content, services and amenities, enhancing customer experience during flights and upon reaching destinations.

The new onboard service will include high-speed global WiFi and multiple channels of live television. The live TV service, unique to Turkish Airlines, will feature TRT World Turkish News along with eight additional channels including Sport 24.

A companion app will allow passengers to pair mobile devices to the new in-flight system, where they can personalize their entertainment such as building custom playlists, lining up movies and browsing guides.

The new entertainment system will be available on 92 Airbus A321s, 65 Boeing 737 MAX 8s and 10 Boeing 737 MAX 9s.
