Turkish Airlines added new service to mainland China last week with a new route to Xi’an (XIY). Travelers flying into Istanbul (IST) now enjoy the opportunity to fly on to the historic starting point of the Silk Road and Turkish Airlines’ fourth destination in mainland China. The route is offered three times weekly, with an Airbus A330 aircraft serving the route.

“We concluded the year by adding a very special city to our flight network after numerous innovations in various areas and the move to our new home that took place during 2019. We will carry our guests to 126 countries from Xi’an, one of the most significant historical capitals while transferring the historical Silk Road to above clouds with our cargo operations. Our new flights will also contribute to the tourist numbers coming to our country with the increasing attention from Chinese tourists to tourism centers of Turkey,” said Bilal Ekşi, general manager, Turkish Airlines.

Flights depart Istanbul Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1:55 a.m., arriving in Xi’an at 4:10 p.m. Return flights depart China Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 12:35 a.m., arriving in Istanbul at 6:10 a.m.

The Water Club at Borgata Review

My husband and I arrived to The Water Club Hotel at the Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey, for our two-night stay and drove directly to valet parking. After the swift drop-off process, we took the escalator to the lobby to check in. With no one ahead of us in line, we were checked in and on our way to our room on the 30th floor in no time.
