Turkish Airlines is set to expand its international network and list of destinations in Mainland China with the introduction of flights to Xi’an.
The parties reached an agreement in early November to bring the route to fruition. To start, the route will operate three times weekly, beginning at the end of 2019. Throughout 2020, especially through the summer months, flights will increase in frequency. In all, Turkish Airlines will fly to China 24 times every week with the new flights.
The airline did not offer further specifics, like which airports the flights will depart from or what kind of aircraft will serve the route.
Turkish Airlines also offers flights to Beijing (PEK), Shanghai (PVG) and Guangzhou (CAN).
