The elevated interior design of Ilma, the second superyacht from The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, has been revealed. Ilma departs Monte Carlo for Rome on Sept. 2. The new-build superyacht will feature spacious suites with private ocean-view terraces; communal areas; new venues including Beach House, a Peruvian- and Pan Latin-inspired eatery; and an expansive pool deck.

“As we look forward to the launch of Ilma, our commitment to expanding our superyacht fleet reinforces our vision of ultra-luxury hospitality at sea,” said Jim Murren, executive chairman and CEO, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “Ilma has been meticulously crafted to enliven the senses and elevate every aspect of our guests’ journey.”

AD Associates and DPA led the interior design, while Aivan worked on exteriors. Named for the Maltese word for water, Ilma’s design is inspired by Maltese colors, materiality, patterns, art, mythology, history and native fauna.

“With an aesthetic influenced by superyacht design cues, Ilma’s defining feature is its seamless integration of spaces, fostering a profound connection to the sea,” said Nicola Preece, design director, AD Associates. “A harmonious flow of geometry and texture between the interior and exterior creates a cohesive and tranquil atmosphere.”

Each of the 224 suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, private terraces and warm lighting, while also boasting the ability to adjust to a variety of functions based on guest preference. The onboard art program has been thoughtfully curated, while the Marina and Marina Terrace, a signature fleet feature, have been expanded with Panasonic glass windows, side doors that open and float above water, and a hydraulic platform to connect guests with the sea. The indoor/outdoor Beach House restaurant debuts with Ilma, also offering The Ritz-Carlton Spa, now expanded to 11 rooms.
