This summer, The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles began highly-anticipated enhancements. The property celebrates its 10th birthday next year and the renovations are the largest changes the property has ever seen. They impact the hotel lobby, all 123 guestrooms and suites, corridors and Club Lounge.

New designs combine themes derived from both modern and historic downtown Los Angeles, with contemporary touches and Art Deco references. The hotel lobby will include a repositioned front desk, hand-painted and gilded wallpaper, glossy ceiling panels and black-and-white photography. Guestroom corridors feature patterned carpeting and shimmering wallpaper, while guestrooms adopt a color palette of champagne, bronze and gray. Guestroom artwork includes more black-and-white photography.

“We want to honor our city’s design history, especially the influence of Art Deco to the iconic downtown Los Angeles landscape,” shared Javier Cano, general manager, The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles. “As we approach our 10 year anniversary in 2020, we thought it essential to celebrate the unique energy of the destination we call home. By incorporating elements of the city’s architectural identity within the walls of our hotel, we hope our guests will be encouraged to rediscover our destination, and add to our story.”

All changes should be complete early this fall.
