Resident Hotels officially opened The Resident Edinburgh, a new and upscale hotel occupying a building once described as an “eyesore” by locals. The original structure was a 1960s office building, now repurposed thanks to a collaboration with Arup engineers to create a more modern and sleek appearance.

This property spans 164 guestrooms and suites, each equipped with luxurious ensuites, dressing areas and mini-kitchens with Nespresso machines. Most accommodations promise views of Edinburgh Castle or across the Firth of Forth to the Kingdom of Fife. Guestrooms and suites range from standard doubles to junior suites, the latter of which comes with a private balcony.

The hotel also features a welcoming lounge where guests are invited to relax by the fireplace and savor a glass of specially selected whisky. The Resident Edinburgh is also home to a library, a peaceful space adorned with books and comfortable nooks, ideal for reading and working.
