Santa Monica’s iconic The Georgian, located about 30 minutes from Los Angeles, reopened April 3 to the delight of locals and travelers. The Art Deco property boasts an extensive list of high-profile guests, including Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin. The carefully restored hotel maintains original designs and features throughout the structure and across its 56 classic rooms and 28 one-bedroom suites.

In addition to ocean-view suites, the property invites guests to spend time in the Wes Anderson-inspired reception and in Gallery 33, which hosts specially commissioned exhibitions from historical and cultural institutions and is also available to hire for private events, artist dinners and cocktail parties. The Restaurant at The Georgian offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and spans several spaces, including the sunset terrace, Sunset Bar and Dining Room.

Open for the first time in 50 years, The Georgian Room, located beneath The Georgian, is a dinner-only restaurant and piano bar. The secret space provides an intimate experience for guests and was a popular spot for guests like Carole Lombard, Roscoe Arbuckle and Clark Gable.

Rooms feature Art Deco-inspired décor, with fully arched headboards adorning each bed; globe-shaped, crystal light fixtures; an antique bar cart; Italian linens with accent cushions; and custom Georgian-branded, diamond-knit bathrobes. Every room and suite also come with original, ornate peepholes dating back to when the hotel first opened.
