As of June 3, The Drisco Hotel opened its doors, offering visitors to Tel Aviv another newer boutique hotel experience. Located in the American Colony neighborhood, The Drisco’s classic Ottoman décor mixed with trendy accents and modern amenities caters to travelers craving style and whimsy.

The building, which dates to 1866, features 42 guestrooms, of which 37 are traditional guestrooms and five suites. The design draws elements from Ottoman influence with restored murals and accents that pay homage to the eclectic neighborhood. Bathrooms are outfitted with Carrara marble, ceramic tile and Imperial sinks and mirrors. From private balconies, guests can soak in views of Tel Aviv to the north or the Mediterranean Sea to the west.

The Drisco’s dining options cater to both hotel guests and locals. Zada will serve high-end, Sultan-worthy Ottoman cuisine featuring local and sustainable ingredients. A separate Lobby Bar will serve small shared plates like beef tartar; a scallop adorned with mint, chili peppers and a pomegranate reduction; and crunchy mini lettuce with mint croutons and a white lime vinaigrette. Rooms begin at $264 per night.
