Faial Island, located in the Azores, officially gets its first 5-star hotel. The Book Hotel opened in June, setting a new benchmark for hospitality in the destination. The new boutique property opens after a seven-year restoration project, bringing life to a 19th-century building overlooking the Atlantic in Horta town.
The hotel spans 20 guestrooms and five apartments, with interiors mixing contemporary design with natural materials and subtle
references to the building’s literary past.
