The Tourism Authority of Thailand and THAI Smile Airways are promoting quality tourism for incoming Chinese travellers.
“So many tourists now come to Thailand from China seeking unique and exciting experiences. By partnering with THAI Smile, we can show them the traditional ways of life found in Thailand’s southern regions and enable them to take part in some of the cultural activities found there. This wonderful region of the nation with its islands and parks is often little visited by Chinese visitors. But these new routes mean they can fly home with amazing stories from amazing Thailand to tell,” said Runjuan Tongrut, executive director of the East Asia region, Tourism Authority of Thailand.
The initiative promotes Surat Thani as a popular destination for island hopping, beaches and parks, as well as active tourism. Special attention is also given to the annual and world-famous Full Moon Party, held on Ko Phangan.
THAI Smile Airways is offering more convenient routes and increased flight frequency to the Chinese market. New routes include service between Bangkok (BKK) and Chonqing (CKG) or Changsha (CSX). On each flight, crews and pilots are fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
