The Harlem Globetrotters
When I was a kid, the Harlem Globetrotters were magical, maybe even mythical. Their games were only seen on ABC’s Wide World of Sports; and when they were on, I was glued to the television. I loved the antics of Meadowlark Lemon, Curly Neal and the rest. Of course, the Globetrotters were legitimately great basketball players. This combination made the entertainment unbeatable.

Big Ten Basketball Tournament
Although I am more a fan of women's college basketball, I couldn't pass up attending the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament at United Center in Chicago. I was rooting for Northwestern, which finished in second place in the regular season, thus getting the No. 2 rank in the tourney.
Saturday in Chicago
I took an el train to meet friends staying at Marriott Marquis in Chicago’s South Loop. Because it was a dry, crisp day, I left early, got off the train on the North Side and enjoyed a long walk through downtown Chicago to take in the sights.
