While many avid travelers’ trips to Israel may have been postponed or canceled, any would-be travels to the Western Wall are on hold until the beloved tourist site reopens. The Israel Ministry of Tourism, however, is offering a rare opportunity to submit a note for the wall virtually.

Only available Oct. 19–21, home-bound travelers missing the majesty of the Western Wall and the opportunity to place a note within the wall can submit a letter virtually for Ministry officials to print and place for you.

Located in Old City Jerusalem, the Western Wall attracts millions of travelers every year, across all regions and interests. The Western Wall holds significance for those of the Jewish faith, as well as history buffs, as it was once part of one of the most incredible buildings in Jerusalem, the Second Temple built by King Herod. It was the only thing left standing when the Second Temple was destroyed in 70 CE. Tourists flock to the wall each year to insert a prayer written on a piece of paper into the wall. While those would-be travelers can’t marvel (in person) at the wall this year, they can still send well wishes from afar.
