Step Into the Stock Show, a bold new 3-D exhibit using holograms, video panels and an enormous 3-D display of the planet, is on view through Feb. 5 at Fort Worth Museum of Science & History in Fort Worth, Texas. This spectacular joint venture between the museum and Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo allows visitors to explore the history of one of the country’s most famed stock shows through interactive, immersive displays.

Visitors will discover U.S. beef cattle breeds and learn about their origins. Witness the 1934 Stock Show trophy discovered in Eagle Mountain Lake and speculate on the mystery accompanying the trophy’s story.

“A large part of our mission is to provide our guests with educational experiences tied to subjects

they might have heard of, but not necessarily know a great deal about,” said Dr. Doug Roberts, chief public engagement officer, Fort Worth Museum of Science & History. “It’s been a pleasure to develop this new digital exhibit and create stronger ties to the Stock Show.”

The exhibit is open 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Along with the National Cowgirl Museum, Hall of Fame and the Cattle Raisers Museum, the science and history museum is one of three participating in the Stock Show’s Moo-seum Experience, presented by Central Market.

As a bonus to show-goers, Stock Show grounds admission allows access to all three museums. Visitors who hold a membership to any one of the three also enjoy free Stock Show grounds admission (with the exception of rodeo in Dickies Arena).
