Hidden in the heart of Wildlands in Moycullen, Co. Galway, Ireland, are 14 open-plan log cabins, opened this February. The cabins, run by brother-sister duo David and Faye Bohan, lie just 10 minutes from Galway city, offering the best of rugged Galway accommodations.

“We have been working so hard over the past twelve months to deliver we believe something special to guests,” said Faye Bohan. “At full capacity we can welcome 72 guests to the 14 cabins and we look forward to a really busy season at Wildlands.”
These architecturally designed detached cabins were carefully constructed over the last year by local architect Associated Design Ltd., and local suppliers and tradesmen. Guests can choose from five types of cabins — studio; two-bedroom; large studio; studio with kid’s room; and large, accessible.

Complete with rustic details, exposed rafts and outdoor decks, no two cabins are the same in design. Enjoy long summer nights in the west of Ireland before turning in, with muted colors like sage green and ochre incorporated throughout the interiors to evoke a sense of natural peace. All cabins come with a fully fitted country-style kitchen with all the appliances needed, including Smeg fridge freezers, Nespresso coffee machine with pods and more.

In the living room, find a smart TV and a wide variety of games to enjoy at night. Cabins also feature roof lights for stargazing on clear nights. All cabins sit a few minutes’ walk away from Wildlands’ adventure hub and the award-winning Olive Tree Kitchen. Wildlands’ adventure hub offers many outdoor adventures for all ages, including forest walks, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and more. The cabins also sit an hour away from the Connemara mountain ranges.
