Starwood Hotels & Resorts plans to open a new hotel as part of its Tribute Portfolio in Hokkaido, Japan, later this year. The Kiroro, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Hokkaido will be located at the base of a mountain in the Kiroro Resort, a popular skiing destination. Slated to welcome guests in December, the hotel will offer 292 guestrooms and suites as well as four restaurants and bars, a fitness centre and a pool. Meeting facilities will include more than 1,400 square metres of event space, including a grand ballroom and four separate meeting rooms.
