St. Regis Hotels & Resorts recently released “Caroline’s Four Hundred” as its first bespoke scent. The fragrance will be at each of the brand’s 35 hotels and resorts; currently available in candle form, it will become available as a room spray early next year.
Created by scent designer Carlos Huber of ARQUISTE, the fragrance was inspired by Caroline Astor, the hotel’s founding family’s matriarch, and her famous parties, where she hosted the most notable of New York society during the beginning of the 20th century. The $80 candle is intended to reflect the exotic woods, potted palms and apple blossoms that adorned the hotel at that time, as well as Champagne and Caroline Astor’s favorite flower, American Beauty roses.
“Rooted in New York society with the legendary ‘400’ and entertaining every generation of society since, St. Regis endures as the epitome of glamour. We are thrilled that ARQUISTE could capture the spirit of the brand for our discerning guests to enjoy, whether they are staying with us and when they are at home,” said Daphne Sipos, global brand director, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts.
