St. Regis Hotels & Resorts announced its expanded presence in Mexico with the signing of a 120-room hotel and 60 residences in Los Cabos, one of Mexico’s most popular luxury destinations.
The St. Regis Los Cabos is expected to open in early 2021 in Quivira, an exclusive residential community where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.
“The rapid expansion of St. Regis, one of Marriott’s ultra-luxury brands, underscores an increasing demand from travelers seeking exemplary service in alluring settings. We are thrilled to be expanding our footprint in Mexico by growing in upscale destinations such Quivira, Los Cabos, and through The Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City,” said Lisa Holladay, global brand leader, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts.
Los Cabos is known for its world-class gastronomy, beautiful scenery and white-sand beaches. Conveniently located four miles west of Cabo San Lucas and 29 miles southwest of the Los Cabos International Airport, The St. Regis Los Cabos at Quivira offers easy access to exciting attractions such as the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course, exceptional fishing and distinctive dining.
The hotel will be part of the 1,850-acre luxury Quivira community located on the Pacific West Coast that offers a private beach club, village center, nature reserves and more than 20 miles of scenic walking and biking trails.
There are currently two St. Regis properties in Mexico, located in Mexico City and Punta Mita. Marriott International, St. Regis’ parent company, operates an additional 69 hotels in Mexico under The Ritz-Carlton, W, JW Marriott, The Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Le Méridien, Marriott and Aloft.
