Royal Caribbean’s first Quantum Ultra-class cruise ship, Spectrum of the Seas, cruised into Hong Kong for the first time last week.
Spectrum of the Seas is the biggest and most technologically advanced cruise ship ever built, and it’s poised to revolutionize the Chinese cruising market, according to Royal Caribbean International officials.
The new ship features a plethora of firsts for the cruise line, including an exclusive suites-only area. The enclave includes a private sunbathing space and the opportunity to book private shopping experiences at The Boutique.
The ship also features new cabin classes, like the Ultimate Family Suite, an 11-guest, two-level behemoth with kid-specific spaces. Star Moment is a karaoke venue debuting on the ship.
Spectrum of the Seas is capable of accommodating 4,246 guests and 1,551 crewmembers. Before arriving in its home port of Shanghai in June, the ship will cruise a 46-night itinerary from Barcelona to Shanghai.
